Archival Printing

Archival Printing from Frameworks

We offer the highest quality archival printing for photographers, artists and enthusiasts.

It's important to print your works using archival printing methods and materials to avoid the works fading over time and this can be achieved with the modern advancement in archival printing technologies.

We need either a high resolution digital file on CD, memory stick (for PC, preferably jpg.tiff or .psd), or photo ,up to A3. If these are provided, there is no set up cost.

We presently use 2 archival printers:

An Epson 9600 44” wide, 7 colour printer and an HP designjet Z2100, 24” wide, 8 colour photo printer with built in i1 spectrophotometer.

We also use a Microtek scanmaker 9800XL, which produces high quality scans.
We are currently printing on watercolour 'radiant white' paper. We use archival printing ink sets for maximum lightfastness. In normal conditions our prints are guaranteed for at least 100 years ( if framed under glass, and not in bright sunlight). The colour gamut and saturation is outstanding.

We normally leave 1/2" border all round so that the limited edition archival prints can be individually signed and numbered.

Bearing in mind that colours can never be 100% accurate between media, we try our best to colour match – digital enhancement and colour proofing can be arranged but at extra cost.
